This book is divided into three parts. the first part outlines what Buddhists believe about the Buddha and the things he taught concerning suffering and happiness, action and result, rebirth, and so on. the second part describes the way Buddhism is, or should be, practised. the role of the order of monks, and the importance of morality for both monks and the laity are discussed; and there is interesting information on the techniques and results of meditation. the third part is about the goals of Buddhism, namely the Transcendental Wisdom and Nirvana, which practising Buddhists seek to realize.
